  • Q:

The removal and installation of this component, can I do this at home with just my tools. I guess what I mean, is there any braising to install this?

Is there anyway I can get a copy of the installation procedures first? The manufacturer's procedure not necessarily the car's manufacturer procedures.

the problem with self installation of a compressor brought by us, it would void the warranty with us. In the warranty part of this item is states the following:With every compressor replacement, the system must be flushed thoroughly with the proper flush solvent or provide a receipt showing it was professionally done.
Also, the receiver dryer or accumulator must be replaced. If your vehicle is equipped with an orifice tube, you must replace it as well.
Vehicles equipped with expansion valves require that they be checked and cleaned if necessary, they do not have to be replaced to validate the warranty.
Once the system is flushed, and the new parts are installed, the system should then be evacuated, then recharged with the proper amount of refrigerant and oil. Please retain all receipts for this repair. if these steps aren't followed and something goes wron with your part it just won't be covered under the warranty. just something to think about before trying to install yourself.
