I have run into wheel bearings for a Dodge Ram PU not having the correct ABS plug on them in the past and was concerned this one may not have the correct one. No problem with this one when used on a 2003 Ram 1500. The bearing bolted on with no problems and no modifications needed. For the price, especially with one of the discount codes Advance has from time to time, this part is hard to beat. Time will tell if it will hold up. Unfortunately it has only a one year warranty. I got spoiled with all the other parts Advance sells that have lifetime warranties!

Sorry, I can't get too worked up about a fairly standard part. I'm using the product, in lieu of the defective OEM hub bearing. Things that are great about the product: Ask me in a year or two. Things that aren't so great about the product: Ask me in a year or two. I did however, install a comparable hub bearing, two years ago & it still seems to be operating normally. Hopefully, I have as good luck with this new one. Sadly, I can't be as enthusiastic about the vehicle itself. In my opinion, Dodge builds a severly sub-standard vehicle. Which means you'll probably be seeing me again, real soon!

Comments about Driveworks Hub and Bearing Assembly:

Easy to install the hardest part was gettinthe old one off. I have to type 400 characters to get my bonus point apparently so what else can I say ......................... ummm ......................... . Order online and find a promo code I saved $42 by ordering it from the parking lot and walking in the store and picking it vs going to the counter and asking for it. Just search promo codes and you will find good ones. I found 30% off so I was very happy with that............. done!

Comments about Driveworks Hub and Bearing Assembly:

both hubs failed within 5 months, not one, BOTH.
after installation they made slight creaks every now and then under turning stress or suspension stress (such as pulling up on a bank going into a restaurants parking lot) then near the 5 month mark the loud popping started, the whirring started and the grinding started.

spend the extra 50 and get timkens or moogs

          Great part fit perfect.
I had a hard time removing the old one. Hub bolts were finally removed using impact and 1/2inch drive with heavy duty breaker bars. Used two people with big hammers and flat bars to remove hub from spindle. 5 hour job did a lot of research before doing this. I have a 04 dodge ram 1500 quad cab hemi 2 wheel drive. I've done a lot of mechanical work in the past. Almost gave up.

No, Ray, it is not necessary to replace wheel bearings for both the sides. It's enough to replace just the failed one.

Hi Alex, it's actually a good question! You don't need for grease replenishment at assembly. They are sealed units with high-temperature grease for maintenance free operation.
