Good product for a cheap price. Just as easy to install as more expensive part. These wear out on 4-dr Explorer's anyway, regardless of how much you pay - - it's a flimsy modular design. Buy the cheap one, and then just replace it again 70-100K later.

Comments about Driveworks Hub and Bearing Assembly:

Installed this on a 2004 Explorer XLS. It has been Three weeks so far and it is doing great. One detail left out of the part description is that it includes replacement bolts for both the hub and the caliper bracket. So it is a great value that it includes a new wheel speed sensor and replacement mounting bolts. It does not include a new axel shaft nut. The mounting bolts were very difficult to remove but not impossible. The clearance between the outer CV joint in very tight so I would recommend a 3/8 socket breaker bar to start them and then finish removal with socket swivel adapter with impact wrench to speed thing up otherwise plan on some extra time to remove. The instructions in the box are to generic and not really helpful.

Easy to install using a youtube video and some tools. The tough part is pounding out the old hub - make sure you have a sledge hammer (3lb, my 4lb got a little heavy toward the end. It was a little squeaky at first, but that went away after a couple days. Works great!!

Ordered this part online and was able to filter easily through the menu to make sure I was getting the right part for my vehicle. I am always skeptical about ordering a part online, but the multiple views of the picture was great to compare with the part on the vehicle. I ordered for an in-store pickup and the part was pulled and ready for me as soon as I arrived. The part was a perfect match and was very easy to install. The part came with all necessary clips, bolts, thread lock, etc... everything needed for the job was in the box. I have no negative comments about this part or experience.

The Sensor on these go bad over time

Comments about Driveworks Hub and Bearing Assembly:

I have replaced both sides of these and after 8 months the sensor on the Wheel Hub Assembly went bad I had do the left side again. Now 2 years later the four wheel drive won't work because of the faulty sensor on the right. The Sensors on Wheel Hub Assembly for the Ford Explorer monitor both four wheel drive and ABS Brakes systems. Even though the wheel hub assembly still works fine the sensor is out. Thus preventing the four wheel drive and the ABS brakes to function properly and throwing on the 4x4 light and ABS light on the dash. I will have to not only purchase MOOG brand next time but also do this project again. DO NOT Buy this product!

Is this as sealed bearing wheel hub assembly? A previous answer stated that the bearing could be replaced, but that would be incorrect if this is a sealed bearing unit.
