I installed two of these more than 5 months and 30k miles ago onto my 2001 Yukon. They are working flawlessly since. The key is to torque everything to specification and in accordance with the repair manual's proceedure. Especially the axle nut! Tightening blindly or using an air gun on the axle nut will cause this, or any other hub, to fail prematurely, if not immediately. If you just slap parts on then you can count on doing it two or three times.

Comments about Driveworks Hub and Bearing Assembly:

Used as a replacement on my 2001 Suburban 1500. Installed with no issues, but only lasted 3 years with less then 20,000 miles on it. The OEM part went 10 years and 100,000 miles. It failed with fairly little warning. There was not the traditional worn bearing noise; just an occasional odd sound that was hard to place. Then one morning it could not even be driven down the street. When I inspected it all the grease had been forced out and was sitting on the steering knuckle. EPIC FAIL

Easy to install, perfect fit. Truck runs great and is very quiet now. Highly recommend getting 3 replacement bolts for the install. Original bolts are hard to remove without damage, be careful and use some heat.

Always fun removing rusted on bolts. Found it easier to use a straight wrench without the bend instead of a socket or wrench with the angle/bend to prevent the socket or wrench from slipping off due to the angle when placing it on the bolt head.

I can provide additional information on the removal/installation of the front hub assembly but I will need you to provide the year, make, model and engine size of your application.

The wheel bearing may be the possible cause of the problem. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
