Best bang for your buck

Comments about Driveworks Hub and Bearing Assembly:

Best bang for the buck. Specially when Toyota wanted over $400 for each wheel hub assembly. Even the sales guy at the dealership had a good laugh.

Cons

  • Lasted about a year

Comments about Driveworks Hub and Bearing Assembly:

The install wasn't that hard and any average person with a little mechanical skill can install it. I was disappointed that it didn't last but about a year.

Installed it on my 04' Toyota Matrix FWD w/o ABS. Was a pain to get the old one out, used parts from a puller to make a makeshift tool. Install was super easy, however the bearing lasted me less than 6months, the car only gets about 1000mi per month so hasn't seen much use.

Saved a boatload having a friend handy with cars install this instead of the dealer who wanted over $500.

Comments about Driveworks Hub and Bearing Assembly:

The hard part was removing the old one. Easiest way was to take the drum off using 8x1.25mm bolts,, put the tire back on and use it to loosen the hub, then remove the brakes, pull the entire remains off and seperate the hub assembly with a hammer. Going back on was a snap.
