Had to reuse the old clips. Other reviews said that the one's supplied didn't fit so I did not even try them. other than that just pop the old one off put the new one back on. Start it up and make sure you're not leaking fuel out all over the ground.: Also made my starting hesitation go away. Now starts as soon as you turn the key over. No more problems.

If you only have one car you could be stranded. Check the clips before you take the old one down. Replacement clips don't match OEM, I had to return to the store to buy the right ones. The old ones were brittle and broke right off.

Filter does its job but BEWARE!

Comments about Driveworks Premium Fuel Filter:

This filter surely did its job. My car runs much better that it did before and that a great thing considering how much the filter costs. I suggest asking an associate to find you the right clips because this filter does NOT come with the correct sized clips. I learned the hard way. Finally, the filter does its job but I recommend spending a few bucks extra for the correct sized clips. It'll save you a headache.

Comments about Driveworks Premium Fuel Filter:

The filter itself works well, but the clips that are included are not compatible. I've changed the fuel filter on a 2002 and 2007 Ford Taurus and the fuel filter clips included with the fuel filter were 1/2". Both times, it actually required a 5/16" clip instead. If you are changing your fuel filter for a Ford Taurus, just buy the overpriced clip package as well so you don't get stranded. AA really needs to include the right clips with these filters.

Had to File Down Clips For 2003 Taurus

Comments about Driveworks Premium Fuel Filter:

The "legs" on the provided plastic retaining clips were too big to feed through the connectors on the fuel lines on my 2003 Taurus. I had to file them down to fit through the openings. Obviously, you shouldn't have to do that. But, since all the fuel filters seem to lack the correct clips for the Gen 4 Taurus I only took off one star, but be ready to modify the clips.

Ok so I have a 97 Ford Taurus and I have to put gas in it every day because it runs out so fast. Before, I could put $20 in it on a wednesday and it would last me until monday but this past wednesday I put $20 in and it was on E on Thursday. I don't understand why it is acting like this and I was wondering if maybe the fuel filter went bad. Would that be the problem and would it help if I changed it?

Changing the fuel filter may help. I suggest a full tune up as well if it hasn't already been done.
