Everything but the copper crush washers that replace the Honda oem aluminum ones is identical to oem honda filter. A need to understand how to install and use crush washers is a must, or im sure it COULD leak, like any brand. People complaining of leaks most likely were not installing correctly. I see no funtional difference with oem. It's a great part for great price. USe on customers cars regularly.

I am leaving this only as a record of one do-it-yourselfer who had an issue. This may not be the fault of the product, but I want to share my issue in case it is experienced by others. I installed it with the new crush washers and torque specs, and it sprayed fuel from the inlet side at a high rate. I checked the seal and could not get it to stop. I then purchased a different brand fuel filter and just used the new washers, as I did not think anything else would be to blame. The spray was just as prevalent as with the original rings. I then installed the new filter and same washers and there was no issue. Again, I may have been to blame, but I don't believe so. If anyone else has this issue, it would be good to share it so others would know the culprit of their problem.

Comments about Driveworks Fuel Filter:

This filter was an exact match on my 1998 Honda CRV. I was pleased to see the copper crush washers came included. Installation was a breeze!

Used old washers instead of the copper ones that came with it based off others who indicated it leaked after using new crush washers

I had problems before with this same brand filter and only bought it again because it was the only one they stocked. I thought since it had been several years ago I would give it another shot. It won't get me a third time!
