Started hearing a clunking/popping noise under my intrepid. Found the bad ball joint up on the passenger side. Started shopping on-line for a replacement and was amazed to see the price ranges.

This Dorman from Advance was priced the lowest and still carries a lifetime warranty. It came with new installation bolts too. In comparison to the factory control arm, it looks just as heavily-made.

It was really pretty easy and straight foreward to replace, and this one is greasable. Even if it doesn't last 245,000 miles like the original, its cheap and easy enough to replace that I don't mind.

It went on my 2001 300m easy. Should last a while now that it can be greased. Cheaper than other stores.

I had a clunking/popping noise under and up front, found the bad ball joint on the passenger side. Priced several places, and this was a great deal.

Lifetime warranty, its greasable, pretty easy to install, and car drives like new again. It appears to be made just as heavy as the original.

                A:

The primary function of a control arm is to provide the connection point between the body of the vehicle and wheel. This allows the wheel to move up and down while the body frame and passengers stay smooth and level. Key components on a control arm include the control arm bushing and the ball joint. The orientation of this part Dorman - OE Solutions Suspension Control Arm and Ball Joint Assembly, Part No. 520-304 is Front Right Lower side of the vehicle.
