              A:

With reference to inquiry on the Drive-Rite V-Belt, Spun Cog - Part No. 55015, when trying to get your chain tension dialed in correctly that the chain is tight in some spots and loose in others. This is normal. Chain rings, freewheels, cassette bodies and crank arms bend, warp and deform to a certain degree with use, and generally aren't perfectly round to begin with. You can adjust the chain to enough tight so that it almost wants to stop the cranks from freewheeling backwards when it is at its tightest spot. If car runs without V-Belt, your engine will overheat and cause permanent damage. For any further assistance, please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.

              A:

Raw edge construction is combined with the (Drive-Rite V-Belt) Dayco patented cogged top design to ensure the top performance that today’s vehicles and drivers demand. The Dayco(Drive-Rite) Top Cog® V-belt delivers more flexibility, and increases airflow around the belt, so it runs cooler and lasts longer than competitors' V-belts. Three plies of neoprene impregnated fabric resist heat, oil, and grease, and a specially formulated treatment of the polyester cord provides strength, stability, and reliability.
