The transmission filter on your 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage should be located behind the transmission pan of the transmission. You will need to drain all of the transmission fluid before you take the pan off. This Driveworks Automatic Transmission Filter Kit - part# DW-FK336 is an exact fit for your vehicle. Just under the distributor cap there will be an oil filter, that's it. Very easy to change just make sure when you put the new one on it's tight.
