Horrible

Comments about Driveworks Automatic Transmission Filter Kit:

I've had this on my eagle for about 3 months. The filter seemed fine at first but the gasket was terrible. Replaced the gasket with a felpro and the leak stopped. Yesterday when I was leaving work i put my car into reverse and it started shaking and didn't want to shift and started acting like it was really low on fluid (it wasn't) got it home and took the pan off thinking the bands needed adjusting and the filter was literally falling apart. Ive never seen anything like it. The fibers that the filter were made of were falling off and soaking up tranny fluid and turning into goop. I replaced the filter and changed the tranny fluid and now it is shifting and running better than it has since I've owned the car. Absolutely the worst product I've ever used. Unbelievable.

The filter itself was good, but the gasket leaked bad. I tried retorquing and finally just tighten by hand which made it worst. Bottom line... buy the Fel-pro.

Comments about Driveworks Automatic Transmission Filter Kit:

Bought this kit, with a coupon code and the net cost was less than $4 for a gasket and filter. It does come with two gaskets, but at a great price I don't feel guilty throwing one away. Installed on a 1960s 904 transmission and it lined up great. Never use sealant or RTV with these gaskets, make sure to clean the flanges really good and sand out by hand all rust using fine 320 grit paper along the flange. Tighten all bolts crisscross, but slightly tighter than specs since the gasket is somewhat thin. It worked great for me with no leaks.

Pan gasket is too thin and flimsy. Had to replace it immediately with a Felpro gasket which did not leak. Save your time and money. Get the Felpro gasket and get the filter separately.

Comments about Driveworks Automatic Transmission Filter Kit:

The filter is fine. Had the transmission serviced with a pan off, change filter and then flush. The pan gasket is too thin and flimsy. It leaked immediately. Bought a Felpro gasket and took it to the service center. They replaced it and no more leaks. The Felpro gasket is at least twice as thick and is of a different material. It is actual a casket compound material instead of this simple rubber material.

The filter was just fine on my 99 Wrangler, but the gasket was cheap and flimsy. After putting it all back together the tranny pan still leaked. So, unfortunately, like others I will be doing the job again.
Getting a new and different gasket and using plenty of sealant.

Hi GARRETT, great question! This Automatic Transmission Filter Kit includes two 14-bolt pan gaskets as the vehicle manufactured in the same year may be designed with a different style transmission pan. This pan gasket has to be used that fits to as which style your transmission pan has been constructed or designed with.
