The clutch went out just two weeks past the 1yr warranty. but it worked great until then. Not to happy doing this job again just after a year later.

Comments about Driveworks Remanufactured Compressor with Clutch:

Purchased this compressor last year in April. Had a mechanic install it with the required addt'l parts...The first one had its bearings disintegrate before the truck was even out of his shop. Thanks to warranty, had him install second compressor the same day. Second compressor worked great until last week; it was determined that the front seal had failed while the truck was sitting during the winter. Will be buying a new one next time....

The unit installed easy, and ran great through a summer before the clutch bearings went out. Installed with a professional certified GM master mechanic.

Comments about Driveworks Remanufactured Compressor with Clutch:

This was one of my better investments for my older 94 GMC pickup 1500. I'm no longer driving in that sweltering heat we had this summer so far. Compressor is quiet and charged with no problem. One thing, don't forget to purchase the oil that is sufficent for your type of compressor, not so cheap, paid [$] apprx for a 8oz bottle. Needless to say you only need 3 to 4 oz, so you will have some extra.

Bought this with a $50 dollar off $100 spent code, so I got the compressor for a great price. My only complaint is there was no high pressure switch so I had to purchase one for about $20 because there was no way of removing old high pressure switch from old compressor.
