      A:

Instructions to remove V-belt: 1. Look over the belt and identify what component allows for tension on the V belt. Usually this will be the alternator located near the top or off to the side of the engine. The alternator will usually be attached with two bolts: One static bolt that securely attaches the alternator to the engine and one stabilizing bolt which is locked down on a bracket. The bracket allows the alternator to slide along it, when the bolt is loosened. This reduces tension on the line. 2. Loosen the bolt on the bracket using an appropriately sized wrench. 3. Push the alternator toward the engine, which should also reduce the tension on the belt. If the alternator does not move, you may have to loosen the second bolt of the alternator as well. 4. Slide the belt off each pulley and carefully slide one side of the belt over the fan. This might require a little finesse if the fan is contained in a shroud, but there should be sufficient room for the belt to loop over.
