Old part had break off bolts. New part came with instructions about it but no new bolts. What's up with this? Went to Honda dealer and found out you can not buy new blots. Just new throttle body assembly

Comments about Dorman - TECHoice Throttle Body Position Sensor:

My TPS was going out of whack. I removed the old TPS from the throttle body by using a Dremel to make a flathead divot on the safety screws to remove them, then placed the Dorman TPS. Calibrating was a little twisting, then tightened the bolts.

The voltage were on the dot and the sensor stayed calibrated.

              A:

Installation instructions: 1. Open the hood of your vehicle. 2. Locate the throttle position sensor. The senor is near the engine side of the air intake hose, connected to the side of throttle body. It's made mostly of plastic and is held on by about four bolts or screws. 3. Remove the bolts or screws from the throttle position sensor using either a ratchet and socket or a screwdriver. Unhook the wiring harness from the sensor by pressing the locking button on the harness and pulling it out. Remove the sensor by pulling it from the throttle body. 4. Verify the new sensor matches the old sensor by checking the harness connection and the side that connects to the throttle body. 5. Place the sensor on the throttle body, making certain it seats flush on the throttle body. Tighten the screws or bolts using a screwdriver or a ratchet and socket. 6. Connect the sensor wire by pressing the male harness into the female end of the sensor until it clicks and locks. 7. Start the vehicle and test drive it to verify the vehicle seems to be operating properly. Pay special attention to how the transmission shifts at low RPMs. For any further assistance, please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
