Comments about Dorman - TECHoice Blower Motor Resistors:

I have replaced four of these now. Drop the glovebox and it's right there. Two 8mm screws and it's in and out. NOW - the REASON these things fail is because the blower motors get tired and pull too much juice. So if you only replace this resistor, you'll be doing it again. Do yourself a favor and REPLACE THE BLOWER MOTOR and then your replacement resistor will never fail again. YOU MUST REPLACE THE BLOWER MOTOR TOO. I'm honestly surprised the manufacturer doesn't require this. Now... as to this part, after I REPLACED THE BLOWER MOTOR :), the first one I got was intermittent; it would only vary between 40-60% blower speed. So I returned it and the second one works perfectly. So a not-so-great review on this part. I installed two BWD resistors in other vans and they work fine.

Not sure aobut this product yet since I've only had it about 3 weeks. I had bought another type for our 2002 Town and Country but it only lasted about 3 months. It is the same brand but a slightly different style. I'm hoping the quailty is better with this one and it lasts longer than the other one did.

Comments about Dorman - TECHoice Blower Motor Resistors:

Like other uses, the first one I got didn't work. Blower was on/near full blast even when A/C turned to off.

Second one seems to be working fine.

Good Luck. Wish there were reviews from competing parts.

Was easy to replace. Worked fine for a week, then fan ran at high speed and was unable to shut off. Need to check one thing before getting a new replacement.

Fan always ran even when I turned off the air condition. In fact it switched to auto-hi mode with both the panel and foot vents open. It was a defective part.
