      Comments about Dorman - Pik-a-Nut M12-1.50 Serrated Wheel Stud - 14.38mm Knurl, 45mm Length:

When I bought this, it appeared in the system that it was a perfect fit. The thread size and the length of the bolt are very accurate but the diameter of the knurl is larger than the original and does not fit in the hub. The system does not warn you about this discrepancy. Saying that it fits doesn't mean that it will fit exactly in all the dimensions like the original. Measurements has to be taken prior to avoid installation problems. Assuming that the part will match without any modification could create complications.

I recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.

The old stud is removed by pounding it out with a large hammer. The new stud is carefully inserted into the hole and drawn up until it is seated using a stack of washers about 3/4 of the stud length and a proper size bolt for the threads.
