Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Transfer Case Shift Motor:

Good replacement part for my existing transfer case shift motor. Had it swapped in about 20 minutes. Only drawback is that it doesn't come with the red plastic retainer clip for the wiring harness, so make sure you are careful when you remove the old one to take out that brown wire. Thankfully mine was still ok and worked well. Shifts into and out of 4wd perfectly. Don't see any issues but can't comment on long term durability yet.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Transfer Case Shift Motor:

Used Advance Auto Parts killer coupons, to knock a bunch off the price. Fit perfect, just have to move one wire from the original plug to the new plug. The sensor for gear position is included on this unit, and that's the only thing I really needed, but having a complete new unit was a big plus.

            A:

Hello Zapped. I will be happy to help. This motor will be an updated model and updated components usually remove external ground wires and go for internal ground wiring to the case itself. The connector appears to be an 8 pin connector. You can verify its fit if you enter your vehicle year make model and engine size on our website. You can also call the store with that information and they can verify as well.

            A:

Hello Danny_t! When this transfer case shift motor #600-802 fails, it will not shift the transfer case. The only thing you will feel when driving is if it is stuck in 4WD. When you turn on dry ground, it will bind.

Hello Gerald, happy to help you with your question. There can be a few things that could cause 4-Wheel drive to engage on and off when turning. You may want to look at the switch to see if it is secure. You’re transfer case shift motor may be faulty, or you may have a short down the line. I suggest having a mechanic diagnose it before you purchase parts.
