Nice product, very heavy duty forged steel part. Much better than the cheap hollow tubular part GM supplies as original equipment. The only downside is that it is made in China, but I guess everything seems to be made in China these days. Overall I am very happy with the new sway bar as it has improved the stability of the car.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Sway Bar Kit:

I discovered my original sway bar was broken when I changed my studded tires over to regular rubber. My boyfriend said with the way I drive my Grand Prix (fast and tight in the curves) I better get it fixed. The old one was hollow and full of rust. This new one is SOLID and heavy. It took us about an hour to get the old one off and the new one on. We used air tools for most of the bolts and a four pound hammer to knock the new one into place. I can really tell she handles better in the curves, no more roll.

Used on a 2000 Impala. Very good product. Getting the old sway bar out and the new one in is a TIGHT fit. I supported the body and the sub-frame with jack stands and made more room by loosening the rear sub-frame bolts. The extra inch from letting the sub-frame droop from the body made all the difference getting the new bar in.

Sway bar was great, heavy duty and easy to install. I would recommend reinforcing the ends of shipment box. When I received the sway bar, it had punched a hole in end of box (see photo of box as received). Nothing was lost since the small parts were well packaged and attached to sway bar.

The original sway bar on my Olds was hollow and both ends rusted away and broke free. The Dorman replacement sway bar is solid and I expect it to last longer. The car performs well with the new bar.

YOU SHOULD HAVE THAT CAR JACKED UP AND WHEELS OFF. DEPENDING ON YOUR SKILL. YOU MAY HAVE TO DISCONNECT THE STEERING SHAFT AND LOWER THE SUB-FRAME IN THE REAR.

first of all press your e brake down then put the car on jack stands on both sides take your tires off cut the bolts off at the wheels usea saws-all or a torch they will be rusted and will be a pain then take your 15mm socket and go as far as you can with it and then you have to use a wrench and take the frame bushing out take all the old bushings off then wiggle it out of either side and you will have the old one out .............now feed the new one in one side makes no differance which side when you get it in position the bolts ats the wheels nut side coming up with nut on top replace those bushings in the same order they were on the old one DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM the bushing at the frame put those on you may have to use a pry bar th line everything up now you can tighten those at the frame so before you tighten the bolts at the wheels do both sides of the bushings at the frame and when you have that done finish tighten the bolts at the wheels and thats it

Certainly. You might have to cut or twist off some rusted nuts, but they are junk anyway. Easier than a brake job.
