        • Q:

3 of these need to be installed into my 1996 Chrysler LHS. At the mechanic they told me the engine needed to be dropped to install these so that is why it would be 3.5 hours of labor. Can I install these myself without dropping the engine?
Asked on 7/27/2012 by Eric Green from Dearborn Heights, mi

          • CUSTOMER CARE

            A:

No, for installing the subframe bushing kit on your 1996 Chrysler LHS the engine has to be dropped. However, I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts. For any further assistance, please visit your nearest Advance Auto store or call us directly at 1-877-ADVANCE (238-2623) and one of our representative there would be more than happy to assist you.

        • Q:

What is the difference between the bushings for the sport suspension and the regular suspension. Will the regular bushings work on the sport suspension.
          Asked on 6/6/2010 by Anonymous

          2 answers

          • A:

Actually, the bushings for the 'Sport' suspension are made of a softer durometer rubber than what is on the standard bushings. Kind of backwards when you think of it. Sport usually means harder or stiffer suspension parts. If you use the standard bushings, make sure you replace all four sets.
