I will be happy to help Steve. Yes, Doorman has made it possible to change out the blend door without having to remove the whole dash. Here is a link for step by step instructions from the manufacturer http://www.dormanproducts.com/digitalassets/document/902-220_IS.PDF

Happy to answer your question Steve! This repair door would be installed how you described it a corner pin would be slid into a hole in the evaporator unit with a grommet then the other corner would be slid into a hole in the evaporator as well. Be sure to install with the foam insulator facing inward. You can put the key in the on position and check the function of it using the AC controls. Exercise extreme causation when dealing with the electrical connectors and watch your fingers near the door so you don't get them pinched.

Am I reading this right? With this item, you DON'T have to pull the whole dash? How is that possible?
