Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Rear Upper Position Shock Mount:

04 Dodge Stratus... On these vehicles O.E.M. part corrodes away due to electrolysis. This problem includes the Sebring also. The tough part is removing the strut assembly from the car! The old parts rubber grommets deform and make it hard to remove from car after they are mashed into the broken mount. Once you get the strut down the replacement is easy with a good torque wrench if your reusing your old strut. (we did). The only lacking thing is that Dorman doesn't pack the Kit with the necessary nuts to fasten the new parts bolt studs to the vehicle. The original ones were all but gone from corrosion. We had to make a run to the Hardware store to find the replacements nuts and washers to do the jobs.
Overall, the Dorman parts are great and are a perfect fit kit. Dorman just needs to pack more hardware in the box.

Good question Anthony! It is not necessary to change the shock mounting bracket on both the driver and passenger side. It has to be replaced only if both sides are rotted out.

The bracket is die cast aluminum. The small bushings are neoprene and the large yellow bushing is polyurethane.
