Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Rear Position Trailing Arm Bushing:

bought a bunch of parts online to repair my wife's old 2000 Honda civic. Her son has been driving it and has not taken care of it at all. He was going thru rear tires about every 4-6 months. When I finally took a look at it, I saw that the rear trailing arm bushings were compeltly GONE!! Havinng fixed everything else, and putting new tires on, I wanted to make sure they lasted at least 3-4 years. I was able to find this at Autozone, but I think i just got lucky. Most of the sales people dont know diddley squat about parts, and it was only when I got to my 3rd Auto Zone that the sales MAN (because most of the employees are kids in high school) was able to find what I needed, and even though he didn't have it in stock, he checked at other stores, and found it, called the store, and had them put their hands on it, make sure its the right one, and hold it for me.

This thing is a beast to put in, and unless you have the correct removal / install tool, your looking at a long weekend of frustration. I work as a top of the line tech, and even with the correct tools, lifts, air tools, hammers, bearing presses, AND the install tool for this bushing, it still took me about 1.5 hours to do it.

Don't forget, after you install the bushing, your going to need to get a alignment. The rear toe was WAY OFF, and had to be corrected, or else the rear tires were going to wear out very soon.

    Have fun !!

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Rear Position Trailing Arm Bushing:

Install only with a press. Do NOT use the on-vehicle bushing press. It has been shown to bend trailing arms and is not properly constrained in its motion.
