Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Radiator Fan Assembly Without Controller:

This complete fan assembly bolted right in in place of the OE fan assembly in my 2005 Honda Odyssey. Everything lined right up and the new fan works perfectly. I don't know about longevity yet, having just installed the fan a couple of days ago.

Removal and reinstallation did not go as indicated in my 2005 factory service manual. Don't bother removing the battery & tray. Remove the various electrical connectors & harnesses (fan connector). Remove the coolant overflow reservoir. Drain about a half gallon of coolant from the radiator and then disconnect the upper radiator hose. Unbolt the fan housing from the radiator (remove 2 bolts at the top, loosen 1 bolts at the bottom). Remove the black plastic cover above the radiator (9-10 plastic connectors). Remove the brackets that fasten the top of the radiator (one at each end) and the brackets that fasten the top of the A/C condenser (one at each end). Remove the grill (five more plastic connectors). Remove the hood release lever (3 bolts). This should give you room to gently rock the radiator & condenser forward enough to remove the fan up between the radiator and the metal support to which the hood release lever & radiator were fastened. Installation is the reverse, then top off the radiator with Honda coolant. I replaced the condenser fan at the same time, so it may be necessary to loosen or remove the condenser (passenger side) fan in order to remove this one ... I'm not sure if this one can be removed without the other.
