Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Pressurized Coolant Reservoir:

I purchased this product as a replacement for the original coolant reservoir not because the original was bad but solely because this one looked better. After 161,000 miles my OEM tank still worked but was looking rather nasty. I show my car in small auto shows and the old tank just didn't look good enough. The replacement looks great and so far performs perfectly. Installation was very easy because it fit perfectly. I cannot comment on durability yet since at this writing I only have about 50 miles on it.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Pressurized Coolant Reservoir:

I developed a coolant leak, in my 2003 Intrepid. I had a hard time finding the leak, as it only leaked when pressure got high, like after "enthusiastic" driving. Finally I was able to see coolant dripping from the bottom of the reservoir, so I pulled it out and saw a corrode-looking spot, which seemed to also have a small crack running through it. I figured that with the car being 11 years old, I'd have to find the part in a salvage yard, which I could not as it was the weekend and they were all closed. I called Advance, figuring there was no way they would have it, just to ask if they could possibly order it. They actually had it in stock. I ordered it online on the Advance website, and got a discount, which made it almost $20 less expensive than the competition across the street. I installed it, and no problems so far. The antifreeze was also on sale for a good price. Very satisfied.

I would have given 5 stars, but it's only been about 2 weeks, but I'm. Guessing all will be 5 stars fine.

Common failure with Intrepids, this is an exact replacement for the stock coolant reservior. With the lifetime warranty, when this one dies as they all do, just take it back and get another.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Pressurized Coolant Reservoir:

This product was used for storing coolant. It was very easy to put on. I had an pin hole is my old one so I had to get a replacement, brand new. I brought it online at a discounted price. I picked it up at the store the next day with no problem. It has a limited warranty on it. So far it had done good with no leaks. It was clean with all the bell and whistles. It had the cap to close the reservoir. It also had the returned hose on it. I did not have to take any parts off of my old reservoir to put on the new one. I am very pleased with the product and it fit right in place.

Hi Jenny, I'm glad to see you back! The other half of the reservoir is the expansion side. Coolant will only flow there if it needs to. As long as your temperature gauge is in the normal and the coolant does not go below the cold fill line when cold, it is fine.

Hello Jenny happy to answer that question for you. As long as there is anti-freeze in your system then you will be okay. The manufacturer may require you to add anti-freeze to the cold-fill line but the level of the reservoir may vary depending on the ambient temperature, and engine load.

Hi Jenny, happy to help you. The reservoir can just be filled to fill line. Any excess coolant is just bleed off.
