to everyone complaining that this didn't work. that means you have the wrong one. there is more than one of this type of actuator. i made this mistake as well. i pulled my old one out and compared numbers. i had the wrong one. i tried it out anyway and it did as everyone describes. goes to hot and that's it. it wont turn back and wont stop turning. so if this doesn't work for you try getting the right one

Poorly designed product. Will only move door in one direction. Thought i got a bad one so i exchanged it. Replacement will still only will move door to the warm air position and will not allow any movement after it is in the warm air position.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions HVAC Air Door Actuator:

This part broke after one week of usage. Spend the extra $5 and get the $55 OEM Ford/Lincoln part. Take the original part into Ford/Lincoln parts department to get correct new part. It is hard to select correct new part online because Ford had changed the part number recently. My original part number on my part was "2L2H-19E616-AA".

2007 Lincoln Navigator. Part looked idental to OEM and was easily installed. Fit perfectly. Saw a couple of reviews that were not good and had some concern but purchased anyway. Also used the online coupon code to get an extra 30% off the online purchase. Way to go! Went to the store and picked up the part got home and installed it in under 30 minutes. The part looked identical to OEM. Sometimes with aftermarket it won't fit perfectly. This one did. Used Doorman products before and always had good results. And this comes with a lifetime waranty. Can't beat that!

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions HVAC Air Door Actuator:

I purchased this part to replace the OEM part that stripped a gear. This part fit and plugged in correctly. However It did not function at all after the wiring harness was connected and the dash was put back together. I did note some of the aftermarket replacements were dead on arrival but thought I would take a chance with the idea that some of the problems were user error. Definately not the case with the Dorman blend door actuator for a late model Ford Explorer. As much as I hate to say it, in this case save yourself the time and buy the OEM replacement from the dealer.

This piece of junk arrived broken. When I plugged the new actuator in, the motor will not shut off. So it continues to try and open/close the blend door. I am out [$] JUNK

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions HVAC Air Door Actuator:

If you kept them and the same gear does not fail, the parts are interchangeable. The housings were the same, except for the output shaft. I had to get both for my rear unit. The PO or dealer had them electrically disconnected.
