Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions HVAC Air Door Actuator:

As mentioned in other reviews it's important to get the correct one for your Vehicle. The Cheaper one is not for Manual Temp Controls, which most standard vehicles are.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions HVAC Air Door Actuator:

I have to say that all the negative reviews about fitment are likely because people aren't paying attention to ordering the right part. You've got to pay attention to which HVAC system you have. It's either Automatic or Manual, buy the right one and you'll be happy and comfortable again.

Possibly, however with out the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not solve or be the problem.

I have a 2007 Taurus SE and the air coming out of the dash is hot like the heater is on all the time. Also the AC will not cool at all. I closed a heater hose with a pair of pliers and the hot air quit coming out and the AC worked fine and cooled the inside just fine. Could this part cause this problem?

It could be the blend door actuator or the heater control valve.

The temperature blend door actuator is the component that moves a flapper type door inside the dash that adjusts the amount of cold outside air that is mixed in with air that passes over the heater core.
