      A:

It is located behind the dash assembly, attached to the HVAC assembly. You need to remove dash to gain access to it.

    • A:

PART IS LOCATED UNDER THE DASH ON TOP OF THE AIR CONDITIONER AIR DIVERTER UNIT. IT OPERATES THE BLEND DOOR FOR THE AUTOMATIC AIR SYSTEM. THE DASH MUST BE REMOVED TO ACCESS THE PART. IT IS A VERY LOBOR INTENSIVE JOB AND TAKES MUCH TIME. THE REAR SCREWS THAT ATTACH THE BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR TO THE DIVERTER UNIT ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO ACCESS.

This actuator moves the blend door which is what directs your A/C or heat through the different vents.

This product is used to control the air flow between the air conditioning and the heat. It effectively blends the hot and cold air streams to produce the temperature that you have set at the dash control unit. When this unit is defective you will hear a steady clicking noise being emitted from the dash directly behind your electronic temperature control unit.
