Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Heater Hose/Tube Assembly:

I am a mechanic and I have replaced this hose on at least a half dozen 96-2007 Taurus. Granted it may have not been the best design from the factory, but this part is a great replacement for the whole assmembly this is was easily a few hundred dollar replacement from the dealer. The first Taurus i replaced this on this part was not available aftermarket. If your hose in your car (the metal part) is starting to rust at all or the paint is flaking off. save your self an overheated engine that loves to pop head gaskets It only takes 1 time and you are doing a major repair vs. around $60 for this hose. Its not a horrible job to do just remove the air inlet and have someone with small hands take the clamps off, be careful not to snap the studs off that the nut holding this assembly to the firewall. Its also a great time to flush the cooling system once the factory hose starts to fail it sends rust through the entire cooling system. Coolant is cheap dont risk it. Good Luck, Thanks Advance for having the parts I need, the discount codes are nice too.
