Didn't work for my Grand Am

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Hazard Warning Light Switch:

Bought for 03 Grand Am that had the problem of intermittently working turn signals. (Not to be confused with turn signals clicking when not engaged, that problem relates to the multifunction switch in the steering wheel.) I installed the Dorman hazard switch and it made my turn signals flash too fast. Fortunately I was able to return it, only 1 time though. Normally most places will not refund your money on electrical parts. I then went to another supplier and bought the original AC Delco part. I installed that one and everything worked fine, the problem was resolved. It even restored some dim lighting in my dash and stereo! As for the Dorman part, not sure if it was defective or incompatible. Also the color was a darker grey than the original one.

Would never have thought that the hazard switch on a Grand Am could have been the culprit for my turn signal issues had it not been for the advice of my Advance Auto advisor. Quick, easy,, and relatively inexpensive fix for a real problem.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Hazard Warning Light Switch:

This hazard switch was used in a 2002 Grand Am. It is easy to change with just a flat blade screwdriver and 7mm nut driver. It lasted a year and 3 months. It apparently contains the flasher circuitry for both the hazard and turn signals. When it goes, you are left without hazards and turn signals. Might want to consider keeping a spare.

Yes it would that is the sign of this part going bad, Mine didn't do that before it when it out. Mine just left me with no turn signals or 4 ways. Others say that theres tick and some just say there 4 ways are stuck on all time. Any of these signs are a signal for new part.

No, you will need to replace the entire turn signal switch with the lever that's located on the steering column.
