Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Hazard Warning Light Switch:

I purchased this to repair a problem where my Alero turn signals would stop working intermediately. Apparently the flasher is built into the back of the hazard switch which explains why I could never find it on or near any of the fuse panels.

It was a little cumbersome to replace but took less than an hour so I'm happy.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Hazard Warning Light Switch:

I bought this to hopefully fix constant ticking noises in my 99 oldsmobile alero. Plugged it in and realized that the hazard switch must not be the problem. While installing the product it did not fit into the black casing that screwed it to the dash so I ended up having to tape it in place. Then after putting into position the button no longer clicked in, seemed like it was really cheaply made. I ended up just installing the old hazard switch back into place since this one no longer worked.

          • Q:

My hazard switch has fallen behind the dash. I've removed the center vent and identified that the bracket which holds the switch in place has broken, but not the actual hazard warning light switch. The bracket that holds the hazard switch mounts into the dash. Does this product come with a bracket or is it the switch alone? Thank you.

          • Q:

I have a 2003 Olds Alero. The turn signals work only sometimes. I used to push in the hazard switch button to fix this but the last time I did that the whole switch broke off and is now hanging inside the dash. My question are this. If I replace the switch, will that fix my problem with the turn signals working only when they feel like it. And, do I need to buy a whole new dash so that the switch is mounted back where it's supposed to be?
