Read the reviews before purchasing this item, so I was prepared to bend the tubing just a bit at the top connection on the radiator. This was all I needed to do to get the connection to line up and slide in for a leak-free seal. I did keep the plastic tips on the lines until ready to connect them as this protected the seal surfaces from any scratching. I used a box end wrench over the tubing to bend it a small amount after the first try as provided was not quite lining up for the proper fit. The one bolt between the lines was rather difficult for me to break loose. I had shoulder surgery last year and I dang near gave up! A box end wrench, with a 12 point head and a slight offset angle worked well when used with a small piece of pipe as a "cheater bar" to get that first half turn going to loosen the thing up. I also put some oil on the rubber gasket to help it seal. If I had had a leak on the piping, I would probably have put some grease on them after making sure any nicks were sanded down. But, NO LEAKS!! I was pleased and saved around $200 versus a local mechanic doing the job for me. I doubt I will ever do this particular job again, but if I do, I will use a ratcheting offset box end wrench (which my wife was kind enough to get me for my birthday. I broke a cheap socket on the bolt before going to to the box end wrench.

Don't waste your time or money!

Very poor fit. Had to bend pipes to clear engine mount. Poor quality hoses. Does not have o rings for radiator connections. Don't waste time or money on these. Buy OEM.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Engine Oil Cooler Line:

I had two sets of these lines fail within 500 miles of installation. The crimp (where the rubber line connects to the steel line) is not a solid connection, and the hose separates when driving. If you put these on your truck and you see ANY oil residue around this area REPLACE IMMEDIATELY. Good thing the customer is knowledgeable and heard the engine start to tick and shut down immediately, otherwise engine would have been destroyed. I would spend the extra money and go OEM. The originals lasted over 13 years, and seem to be doing way better than the Dorman part.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Engine Oil Cooler Line:

I read many reviews online about this part [*], however it seems to be the only one available. Once you have the fan shroud off, the quick disconnects are easy to remove from the radiator. The other end @ the filter is a simple bolt. Other people commented about how it didn't fit correctly into the top connect on the radiator. Before installing I pulled the top connect out and tried the new one and it fit. However when I got the new one in place it seemed not to fit (since I checked I knew it did), but turned out the metal pipe needed to be bent a little to get it to line up. Also I suggest leaving the old one in place as much as possible, there is plenty of room to put the new one in and match it to how the old one was ran.

tried two of these, three if you count the ones napa sells with a napa sticker on it. all had poor connections and dripped oil, had to go with the oem in the end. should have rebuilt the originals with new hose.
