The product fits but does not automatically send signal. Installer told me
this unit requires 2 or 3 days to learn. It may require some resetting of the computer, he told me. The read out still says 0 pressure. Avoid this one.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Dorman DiRECT-FIT Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensor:

The product works as described. It replaced the faulty one without any issues at all. The pricing was much better than anticipated. When I searched through the descriptions of the other parts that also came up, I chose this one because it said it would be an exact match and it was.

The unit matched my original exactly, A tire store helped me by breaking the outside bead on my tires for no charge, then I was able to replace the sensors with no problems. Originals lasted 6+ years, hope these last as long. These units are pricy, but the online discount helps.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Dorman DiRECT-FIT Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensor:

These are made where the valve stem is separate from the sensor. The ones I replaced were made together. So if these were on there to begin with, I could have just got new valve stems (proprietary) instead of purchasing new TPMS Sensors.

                      Hi.
                      Tanks for this opportunity.
I wonder how to read the date-cod on DorMan (TPMS)974-009.
I´m on my way to install this but I´m curious it the TPMS is old or new.
                      Best regardes.

Hi Staffan, I'm glad to assist you. There should be a code right under the part number that would start with 12,13,14,15,etc followed by 3 more digits.the first 2 numbers indicate the year and the last 3 are the day of the year.

Is this item a "bolt-in"? Or do I have to re-program the onboard computer to accept this new unit? Does the tire need to be rebalanced after installation? Is some special tool needed to install this device?

Do I need to replace all 4 of these, or will one reset with existing 3 factory TPMS in place?

Will standard reset tool re-configure with wireless computer?
