Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Dorman DiRECT-FIT Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensor:

This TPMS sensor hooked up with my factory system without a problem. The only catch is that it sits a little lower in the wheel than the factory sensors. Other than that, no issues at all.

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Dorman DiRECT-FIT Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensor:

I purchased a new set of wheels around March of 2011. Hoping to keep these in pristine condition longer than my OEM wheels, I decided to use these wheels only in the summer, and use my peeling, corroding OEM wheels for the winter. Since I was going to use these for summer only, I needed tires and tire pressure monitoring sensors. I bought these Dorman sensors since they were cheaper than OEM, and could fit a variety of wheels thanks to the clamp-in valve stem.

Everything was said and done around June of 2011. New wheels were on the car wrapped in new tires, and 4 new pressure sensors that all programmed fine, for now.

November comes. I swap wheels, back to OEM corroded wheels.

Fast forward to March 2012. Put on the summer wheels. Try to program sensors as I did when I first got them. Nothing. Maybe the re-learn magnet weakened. Bought another. Same deal, no program. Winter wheels with the sensors from the factory (10+ years old now) program fine. Yet all of these, all 4 of them. Dead.

Stay away from these. Not only will you have to pay for new sensors after you spent $240+ on a set of 4. You'll need to pay to get new sensors installed on the wheels, get the wheels balanced, and maybe have to get a wheel alignment as well. Just go OEM

Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Dorman DiRECT-FIT Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensor:

Initially thought I was going to receive assistance to replace the defective sensors. (all 5 died within a 3 week time period, including spare) Then, was told that they can be exchanged only because out of 90 day warranty (lasted less than a year, now I have to pay for the tires to be dismounted, sensors installed, tires remounted and balanced ..AGAIN!!!). Made several calls to no avail, Advance associates unable to comprehend my concern that a defective part was being distributed and at least meet me half way in offering either a refund or an operational part that would last and try to resolve the issue. Not going to waste my money on these again.

It was time for tires and time for sensor replacement after 8 years of service. The sensor instructions were well written and had very clear pictures showing the installation. A:

Good question, Valerie! That would depend on the stiffness of the sidewall of the tire. You would need to break the bead at the rim and sometimes you can sneak the sensors in and out.

                    A:

Could be that just your air pressure is low but it could be other things as well. With out the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it. We would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis.
