      Hi Joe, good question! This differential yoke is vehicle specific. It fits for both RWD and 4WD based on the application. To assist you further please provide the year, make, model and engine size of the vehicle.

      If you look at the bottom of the text information where it says Product Specifications you will see this:

      Product Application(s):
      1997 Chevrolet K1500

      8.50" & 8.625" Ring Gear; 30 Tooth; Dorman - OE Solutions
      Pinion Yoke; Rear Driveshaft at Rear Axle; w/8.5 In. or 8.625 In. Ring Gear; 30 Tooth

      On the second line, starting with the words "Pinion Yoke;" it says it is for the rear driveshaft at the rear axle. This means it is for the rear differential, not the front.

      Hope that helps.
