      Hi Darrell, great question! This 4WD actuator is an exact fit for your 1998 Chevy Silverado and it does not include wiring harness with it. You would need to buy the Dorman - OE Solutions 4WD Actuator Wiring Harness For Upgraded Electric Actuator - part# 600-600 separately.

      "this is a conversion harness for the 88-94 trucks with the thermal style actuator."

      You do not need for your 1998 SUV / truck. The AAP employee should check the difference between electric and thermal / vacuum actuated.

But unfortunately this wiring harness does not fit your 2005 GMC Sierra and the exact fit wiring harness for your vehicle is currently unavailable online.
