Comments about Dorman - Help Rod End 3/8-24 In. Type A:

While this part looks exactly like OEM, it is not. It's made out of cheap metal and the clips are weak. It took forever to install and once I started to tighten the tension, the silver clip let the bolt come loose and became unusable. This is a garbage piece of after market junk. I ended up using the OEM part after spending an hour trying to get the OEM bolt out of the clamp.

Comments about Dorman - Help Rod End 3/8-24 In. Type A:

I had to modify this item, the adjusting nut would fall out when parking brake was applied. I took a center punch and dimpled the housing so the nut was kept in place. Haven't had an issue since the modification. The company making this did not copy the OEM close enough.

I installed it then pressed the brake pedal down it it split apart. I then removed it and welded it so it can not split and it works much better. Not a very good design could be engineered to be a little tougher.

Comments about Dorman - Help Rod End 3/8-24 In. Type A:

this part looks identical to original equipment, but it is not! it is made of cheap soft metal which bends and deforms easily, unlike the hard steel of the original. the part pulled apart when the brake was applied, and after trying for two hours to make it work, and having it pull apart two more times, i repaired the original part and threw the new one away......a waste of money!
