Do you have instructions on how to install a door rod clip in 1987 Ford Ranger?

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

With respect to your inquiry on the Dorman - Help Door Lock Rod Clip - Ford 2007-80 - Part No. 75451 you can use a flat-head screwdriver and pry between the door panel and the door and push outward to release the plastic retainer clips. Then pop the clips out one at a time to reduce damage to them. Then pull the door panel off and secure it aside away from the work area. Then unhook the door latch rod from the retaining clip. If you are replacing a new lock cylinder in your 1987 Ford Ranger make sure that you slide the lock cylinder retainer onto the lock cylinder using a pair of pliers. Also make sure that the lock cylinder is seated properly. Finally reconnect the door latch rod to the retaining clip.
