      I'm glad to assist, Lamb! Dorman indicates that this Dorman - Help Dipstick Tube Grommet is designed to fit GM rear wheel drive vehicles' transmission dipstick tube. The transmission dipstick tube is generally a larger diameter than the engine oil dipstick tube.

      this dorman dipstick grommet is more of a universal fit for most rear wheel driven cars. now the filler tube can be ordered directly through our stores and shipped it, or try our salvage connection for all kinds of hard to find items

      That generation of dakotas just used an o-ring as the seal, these are more for a 1993-2000 Ram, they had different style tubes.
