Comments about Dorman - Help Brake Bleeder Screws - Speed Bleeders - M10-1.5 X 33mm:

Dorman 12702 Speed Bleeders fit the front calipers but do NOT fit the rear. AAP does not make this clear on their site and is probably unaware.

They fit the front AND if you get a good pair, they make life a lot simpler. Thread them in (12mm) and when you are ready to bleed, just open them up 1/4 to 1/2 turn and pump your brake LIGHTLY 4 or 5 times. Remember to keep the master cylinder filled and covered so brake fluid does not spill backwards.

A note... DO NOT press the brake pedal to the floor. This causes the master cylinder piston to move outside
it's travel path and could score the cylinder creating leaks. ( so common in the past when pushing to the floor and holding it... probably destroyed many a master cylinder.

Comments about Dorman - Help Brake Bleeder Screws - Speed Bleeders - M10-1.5 X 33mm:

Either I was doing it wrong, or these didn't work. I had to open and close them as I would with regular bleeder valves. The check valve feature didn't seem to work.

I'll keep them anyway since they are larger and I can use a larger wrench on them (7/16 instead of 10 mm).

Comments about Dorman - Help Brake Bleeder Screws - Speed Bleeders - M10-1.5 X 33mm:

Either I'm doing it wrong, or these don't work. I stepped on the brakes and nothing happened. I had to loosen them to the point where they started to leak past the threads.
In the end, I was able to bleed the brakes the old school way, by having someone pump the brakes while I turned the bleeders open and closed.
I was not able to get them to bleed using the check valve.
I've decided to keep them anyway because they're larger than the standard bleeders and I can use a larger wrench on them (7/16 instead of 10 mm).

A bleed screw is a device used to create a temporary opening in an otherwise closed system, which facilitates the removal of air or another substance from the system by way of pressure and density differences.
