Comments about Dorman - Help Bleeder Screws 3/8-24 X 1-1/4 In.:

This product is currently listed as compatible for front AND rear installations on 1979-1993 Ford Mustangs. However, the wheel cylinder on most Mustangs in this generation equipped with rear drum brakes takes a 1/4-28 thread pitch, not a 3/8. For the rear, this would only fit on Mustangs in this generation if they were converted to use the 10" rear disc brake calipers from an SN-95 Mustang or an aftermarket equivalent requiring the same bleeder screw size. While doing research on this, I've discovered that this is typically mentioned on other sites specific to Mustangs that sell these. Hopefully AdvanceAutoParts will update their compatibility data for this and other bleeder screws they claim can be installed on the rear of foxbody Mustangs.

My original bleeders were getting rounded. So I replaced the originals with these.

          Not "AUTO/SELF BLEEDERS" as described!

Comments about Dorman - Help Bleeder Screws 3/8-24 X 1-1/4 In.:

I bought these after reading in the item description that they were supposed to have a one-way check ball valve inside to make these auto/self bleeder screws. From Advance's description, "Engineered with a built-in check valve that eliminates the need for specialized equipment"; however, Advance's description of this model#(13901) is totally incorrect. These are just ordinary bleeder screws with nothing inside them at all! If you want the auto/self bleeders with the check valve inside, that correspond to this size thread and length, you need to get Dorman's model#(12701). Hope this prevents someone else from ordering the wrong item.

Works great, makes bleeding brake lines a lot easier. Totally worth it. Fits front brake calipers on 97 Cherokee, not rear.

The only "con" I could think of is that in the description online, it never said there were two to a package, so I ordered more than I needed.
