Comments about Dorman - Help Bleeder Screw Assortment Kit:

Previous reviewer is correct, they are not speed bleeders but regular old fashioned bleeder screws.

They work great as a regular old bleeder, the asortment is nice and is the only way I could find one of the bleeders I needed for the antilock rear brakes on my 1992 Dodge W250.

I've used the Doorman Speed Bleeders and they are awesome, sadly this product is not what it is advertised to be.

Comments about Dorman - Help Bleeder Screw Assortment Kit:

I bought these because they are advertised to have built in check valves but when they arrived I found out they do not, they are plain bleeder screws just like the OEM ones. I checked the DormanProducts website and found the exact text which appears in the Advance Auto Parts website. When I called Dorman the tech rep sounded defensive and told me I bought the wrong ones and needed the speed-bleeders. Then I had him read his own website to which he admitted it was wrong. Dorman may have changed their description but all the vendors need to update theirs.

i bought AAP #13901 brake bleeder screws for my 1995 Ford F-150 pickup. I removed old one by 'screw extraction' due to rust and being almost 20 years old and replaced with the new DORMAN 13901. I tightened to max depth and its leaks out top of bleeder screw. help?

      A:

Great question, Missy! For the front calipers on your 1999 Ford Mustang GT the bleeder screw should be an M10 x 1.0 with a length of 32.75mm. The correct part is USA Brake Part No. 13210, as this item is unavailable through AdvanceAutoParts.com I recommend checking with your local store to obtain this part.
