Q:How deep is the back of the switch. I have limited room available.
A:Happy to help, Ronnie! This Dorman Electrical Switches - Part No. 84815 measures 0.96"-inch to the tip of the terminals from the body.
Q:Has anyone used this for a brake line lock? Looks like it only has 2 ports, unlike others I've seen with a 3rd port (for ground).
A:I'm happy to help, Tom! I have never personally used a brake line lock, however from what I understand for the switch, this simple switch will do the job since it can handle up to 20 amps. It seems though that many prefer a snap action switch. The reason this switch only has two ports is because it is not an illuminated switch. If you haven't already started the project it looks like Hurst makes a system that can fit quite a few vehicles, Part No. 1745000
Q:Can I use one of these as a battery kill switch?
A:Sorry, this Dorman - Conduct-Tite Electrical Switches - Toggle - Racing Style Kill Switch - Red cover(Part# 84815) is not a battery kill switch. This is a ignition kill switch. you can not hook battery cables to this switch.
Q:can this switch be used as a switch for my offroad lights?
A:Yes, I have one running 2 off road light, both being 100watt
Q:This toggle is rated for how many amps? Plz and thx...
A:i have this for my strobe lights in my police edition jeep wrangler, and its rated for 15-20 amps. nothing is funner than this kill switch.
