Comments about Dorman - Autograde Compression Fitting-Union-3/8 In.:

seen these used a lot on transmission line. a lot of them leak due to being in a hurry. take your time and make sure both lines are straight and true , add fitting, snug them down evenly. if it leaks snug down some more. once tightened down the feral will crush into the line sealing the system. if nuts are tight and system is still leaking then you will need new ferrals, cut the ferrals off the line , and reuse the body and nuts to start all over again.

      • Gas Line Repair

Comments about Dorman - Autograde Compression Fitting-Union-3/8 In.:

I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer with rusted gas lines. I cut the gas lines where they were rusted and used this product to connect new pieces of line to the old line. Just did this repair last week and so far everything looks great - no leaks! I used two 3/8 and two 5/16. The first three went on with no problems, the last one fit perfect on one end but the other end did not fit onto the new line (like it wasn't machined correctly). I just took the piece that didn't fir back to Advance and they gave me one that did fit.

I'm glad to assist, Dale! This 3/8 inch straight fitting is universal and is not application specific. You would have to match one by size to what is on the vehicle that can be fabricated into its place.
