My girlfriends car needed a tune up. I researched several spark plugs and went with Denso platinum TT. I immediately noticed the engine running smoother and a little pick up nothing serious but noticeable. 200 miles later and gas mileage has increased slightly. The Denso platinum TT is a good choice for this 2003 Honda Accord LX 4cyl.

After 14,000 miles I pulled the spark plugs to take a look and found that the ground strap tips had eroded away. On the good side the plugs are super clean and the center electrode shows no signs of wear. I did not replace these plugs with the same Denso Platinum TT but will use them again if Denso fixes this problem and make the ground electrode more durable. I would even pay more money if this spark plug design provided a longer service life. I would recommend this product to a friend with the understanding these plugs will only last one year more or less as designed to function.

PK20TT Platinum TT Spark Plug

Comments about Denso PK20TT Platinum TT Spark Plug:

This is the second time I installed these plugs on my 2004 E46 325i Sedan and the car runs very well. No complaints. The first installation was June 2014. About 2 months ago (AUG 2016) car began running a little rough, then recently got a miss-fire code. So, I replaced and now car is running nice again. These plugs lasted over 2 years, which is typical rule of thumb to replace spark plugs. One important fact, my car has over 160K miles.

Just as good as OEM (Iridium SKJ20DR-M11)

By

Comments about Denso PK20TT Platinum TT Spark Plug:

I just got these installed on my 2004 honda accord 3.0 V6. I had the OEM... well, never changed them (less than 60,000, no hard driving) but figured i really should, given the age of vehicle, even if mileage is not that much. I will say that the iridium oems did an incredible job - only until recently my engines began to misfire, so i decided to change them out. Unless you're planing to drive your car hard and look for peak performance, there won't be much difference between the platinum and iridium tips - and you can save yourself 60% with using these. Car feels great, drives smooth, more power.

Comments about Denso PK20TT Platinum TT Spark Plug:

It's a spark plug. Pretty plain and simple. But, I have used Bosch in my Toyotas on a couple of occasions, and they just don't seem to perform as well as the Denso. So, I am happy to spend an extra $5 or so and get the good stuff ..

Comments about Denso PK20TT Platinum TT Spark Plug:

I bought six denso spark plugs for my 2006 dodge Dakota 3.7L v6. I was badly in need of a tune up, my old plugs were so worn out that the gap was almost a quarter of an inch. since replacing the plugs with the denso plugs, ive noticed a big increase in performance for a great price. the plugs are made of quality materials and are worth every penny. I have even noticed an increase in fuel economy. which is great because fuel prices keep going up. I highly recommend these plugs to anyone who wants to increase performance while saving money

Comments about Denso PK20TT Platinum TT Spark Plug:

Bought these for my Dad's Civic as he was still running the old factory Iridium plugs at 100,000+ miles. We figured it wasn't worth buying a new set of Iridiums seeing as the car was already well over 100,000 miles. We were a little skeptical about the twin tip design but we decided to go with it. Platinum was the next best material under Iridium in terms of endurance and longer amount of miles. These plugs are amazing! Easily helped us get 40 MPG on a drive from PA to TX. The engine runs great and they seem to be a great investment.

Hi Sean, I'm glad to assist you! This Denso PK20TT Platinum TT Spark Plug - Part No. 4504 is pre-gapped at .040"-inch from the factory. All the spark plugs are pre-gapped from the factory, the fact remains that the gap must be adjusted for the vehicle that the spark plug is intended for. Those with modified engines must remember that a modified engine with higher compression or forced induction will typically require a smaller gap settings.

What's the recommended gap for a 2009 GTi that's been "chipped"? I just bought 4 Denso plugs and installed 5/1 (Order #18772642) and replaced the 4 Coil packs 2 days ago and am guessing that the Denso plugs aren't working well as I'm getting numerous misfires (Code P0302/304)!

                  A:

This Denso PK20TT Platinum TT Spark Plug - Part No. 4504 is an exact fit for your 2009 Volkswagen GTI and is recommended to gap 0.044 inches. The code P0302 and P0304 are a Cylinder Number 2 Misfire. Start at the front of the engine, where all the accessories are mounted (alternator, power steering pump, etc) then count each each spark plug from left to right in normal order. The cylinder to the left will be 1, and the cylinder to the far right will be 4. When you locate number 2 cylinder, check the plug wire for damage. Remove the spark plug and inspect it for wear. A new set of spark plugs and wires will probably fix your problem.
