Followed the directions, now I have a Check Engine Light. Haven't had time to see what code it is. I cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor so, fingers are crossed it is not the O2 sensor. Pay the extra $$ and get the wired up version.

Comments about Denso Oxygen Sensor Universal:

First the staff were phenomenal, incredibly helpful and will certainly be back. But the product was a let down, the instructions were fine, but didn't have the same setup as in my vehicle, and therefore it was a guessing/matching game that didn't match one or the other but a combination there of. So the product works fine, but the instructions were junk.

Comments about Denso Oxygen Sensor Universal:

Oxygen sensor was exactly like the OEM, except you have to splice the plug onto the new sensor. No big deal, very simple and takes about ten minutes tops and everything you need comes with the new sensor, plus you save $20 that equals $120 per hour for your time. That my friend, is a no brainer.

Comments about Denso Oxygen Sensor Universal:

This part is listed as "OE FIT" because Denso, the manufacturer, makes the original factory part. What you WANT, if available, is OEM DIRECT FIT so you won't have to splice any wires as with this part. Only four, but you must remove Sensor and Wire (from up top) instead of just plugging-in and connecting a OEM, DIRECT FIT part. Be careful. (01 Eclipse 3.0)

The crimp style connectors that came with this require a specialized crimper to properly set. I had to solder them to ensure long life connection. That took more than an hour and a lot of effort. Although this was recommended by online chat, I recommend the direct fit for higher cost. That is what I will insist on next time.

I expect it to work just fine, but the extra labor and time was not worth the savings. YMMV

Had to do a cat change on my 99 honda prelude, so i change the O2 sensors as well. No more codes but make sure you get the right sensor. I wanted the OEM direct fit and this one came without the plug end. I had to splice the old stuff on to make it work... other that that, Denso works fine and is the factory part on most Honda's.

The Oxygen sensors tend to be located inside the exhaust pipe on your Toyota 4runner. A:

Yes, this part Denso Oxygen Sensor Universal, Part No. 234-4209 fits your 2001 Mazda MPV. The Orientation of this part is Downstream (ie; after catalytic converter). Simple way to find which sensor you need is to scan the vehicle with code reader or scan tool, which will give you DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) codes and by reference of the code obtained by the tool with DTC code list, you will know which sensor is faulty and need replacement.
