    This is a factory-replacement part for the O2 sensor #1 (pre-cat).
Remove rear coilpack for better view and access.
Use a 7/8" (or 22mm) crowfoot to install this item.
Came complete with small tube of anti-seize compound.
Obviously cannot comment on reliability yet - just installed. Original lasted 200K miles; hope this replacement does as well.

this brand of oxygen sensor was not bad at all. it was a little costly but besides that it was extremely convenient to locate as well as in stock when I went to advanced auto to pick it up. my mechanic had no problems issues or concerns inserting it into my car. I didn't even need anything additional with the purchase of this sensor also sense this sensor has been put into my car my check engine light has gone off and surprisingly has not made its way bac on my car neither, I would definitely recommend this product.

Comments about Denso Oxygen Sensor - Direct Fit:

The oxygen sensor operates in an extremely hostile environment. Like a spark plug, it is threaded and screws into its mounting location. Normally the O2 sensor is supplied with anti-seize compound on the threads so it can be more easily removed at the specified change interval. Over time, the anti-seize compound loses its effectiveness and the sensor can become "welded" into its location, making it nearly impossible to remove using normal tools. Using excessive force to remove the oxygen sensor may damage the sensor and surrounding components. If the sensor becomes seized in its mounting location, a simple 15 minute replacement job can become a much more complex and difficult task. Replacing the O2 sensor within the specified change interval will minimize the possibility of this problem and additional component damage. Bear in mind: A non-functional or visibly damaged oxygen sensor may cause you to fail an emissions test if you live in an area that requires regular emissions testing.

This o2 sensor did not fit my US built Suburban. The electrical connection was different than the original. This particular sensor fits only the Suburbans built in Canada. I ordered it on line and the site said "exact fit" for your 2001 Suburban. It did say "Canada built" in the description but I assumed that's where the o2 sensor was built. Silly me. The one I ended up getting said "Canda built" in the description as well but i took the old one to Advance and made sure the electrical connection matched up. Learn from my mistake.

With reference to your inquiry on the Denso Oxygen Sensor Direct Fit -part# 234-4650, a knock sensor tells the engine computer when one or more of your engine's cylinders are "knocking", that is, exploding the air/fuel mixture in a way that delivers less power and can be damaging to the engine if prolonged. The computer uses this information to tune the engine so that it doesn't knock. If your knock sensor on Bank #2 is generating a low output voltage (perhaps under 0.5V), then it will trigger a P0332 DTC. This P0332 code may show up intermittently or the Service Engine light may be lit constantly. Other knock sensor related DTC codes include P0325, P0326, P0327, P0328, P0329, P0330, P0331, P0333, and P0334.
