Hi Vic, glad to assist you! This Denso Oxygen Sensor - Direct Fit (Part No. 234-4168) is an exact downstream left side sensor for your vehicle. I think you will need this Denso
Oxygen Sensor - Direct Fit (Part No. 234-4509) which is an exact downstream right side (bank 1 sensor 2) sensor for your vehicle.

I have a 2006 Toyota Sienna XLE. I need a Bank 1, Sensor 1 oxygen sensor. How does this correspond to your teminology "downstream front"?

        1 answer

I'm glad to assist, BW! Your 2006 Toyota Sienna XLE is indicating that the oxygen sensor that has failed is in the exhaust stream from cylinders 1, 3 and 5 which are on the side of the engine closest to the cabin. Sensor 1 indicates that it is an upstream sensor that has failed (pre-catalytic converter). This Denso Oxygen Sensor - Direct Fit (Part No. 234-4168), if failing, will provide a diagnostic trouble code indicating Bank 2, Sensor 2. You would want to look for an upstream rear indication like Denso Air Fuel Sensor - Direct Fit (Part No. 234-9012)
