For a 1998 Civic you need TWO Sensors

Comments about Denso Oxygen Sensor - Direct Fit:

When my check engine light came on a few months ago I went to AA and had them pull the codes. One code was for the oxygen sensor. I did not have the $ or the time to get a new part and have it installed so I opted for some O2 cleaner. That worked for about 2 months and then my gas mileage and performance went quickly downhill. I only bought one as the description only called for one for my car (geesh). My mechanic showed me that there was an Upper and a Lower bank sensors. Had to go back and get the upper sensor. I have noticed an immediate improvement in the engine performance and shifting of the car. So it's 18 years old.... the performance counts to me. And I needed the gas sipping ability of my Honda back as well. Well worth the price of a "new" car if you ask me.....shhhh don't tell me it's an oldie.

I was looking at this one and the Bosch. I have a Honda and people said go with Denso. It fit well, even clipped on the metal holder like stock. Nice feature it came with anti-seize as well. No check engine lights, much cheaper than going to Honda.

Comments about Denso Oxygen Sensor - Direct Fit:

Excellent 92-95 OEM Civic replacement O2 Sensor! Once installed, it directly connects to your original O2 wiring connector. Noticed increased MPG, at higher speeds, as original O2 sensor was toast. NOTE, that you will need an O2 sensor socket wrench, to remove the old sensor with, and install the new sensor; can be found on the net, for around [$]. My 93 4dr auto DX Civic is easily getting between 40 and 45 MPG, on the highway.

Comments about Denso Oxygen Sensor - Direct Fit:

My 1995 Honda Civic with a b16 JDM swap had recently began running poorly. I was getting between 26 - 28MPG and was having random major engine hesitation issues even at highway speeds. After swapping the O2 sensor and unplugging my battery to reset the ECU the car is running great and is in the 38 - 40 MPG range.
