Comments about Denso Air Fuel Sensor - Direct Fit:

The only part I've ever replaced on my truck (including tune-up parts) that actually made it run better. Replaced the factory sensor with a "generic brand and fit sensor"...AKA not Denso, due to an O2 heater code. Approximately 6 months after, truck would lose power and stall on the highway randomly. After datalogging PCM info several times to pinpoint the issue, I replaced the upstream O2 sensor with this unit and the truck has not ran this well since I bought it!

Comments about Denso Air Fuel Sensor - Direct Fit:

I searched many sites for this air/fuel ratio sensor and none of them even compared to the low price I paid! It's an OEM part, too! It was extremely difficult to unhook the electrical connection, but that is the way the truck was built. I had the help of YouTube to figure it out. The P1135 code disappeared and I passed the CA smog test!

I have replaced the all the exhaust from the manifold to the muffler...and P0031 code appears on the diagnostic tester. Is this the correct part for my 2004 Tacoma w/ manual transmission?

              A:

Hi Jo, I'm happy to help you! This P0031 code appears when the resistance of the heater circuit is lower than normal. That is resistance level must fall below 0.8 A to trigger the DTC code.
A P0031 DTC trouble code may be caused by one or more of the following:
A short or open in the heater circuit in the sensor. A failed O2 sensor heater, Wiring/connectors broken/frayed leading to sensor and/or relay. Failed PCM/ECM. Please provide your vehicle year, make, model and engine size so that I can suggest you the correct parts.
