This idler pully is not as robust as the original (which lasted 300,000 miles), but has sealed, permanently lubricated bearings and should be good for a few years at least. Price is right also. If your original idler pully has a dust cover, you don't have to use it with this replacement pulley.

Didn't Work

Had to return this pulley. The bushing that goes through the bearing and holds it to the block rubbed on pulley. Bought new one from competitor with no problems there.

Good OE style replacement, don't know if it will last as long as a Motorcraft or International but time will tell. Bearing is sealed and can be replaced.

This is a direct replacement for the IDLER PULLEY/WHEEL, not the TENSIONER PULLEY for the 5.9 Dodge Durango 5.7 liter. Easy to replace on the Durange. The bearing squeal is gone. Over 200k miles on the original. I hope this last just as long.

I bought this product because it said it was an exact fit for my vehicle(98 Ford Expedition) I busted open my knuckle trying to release the tension(obviously my own fault but just got me frustrated) I get the bad idler pulley off and go to put on the nice shiny new one and what happens? It doesn't fit. It is a good product and I would recommend it to anyone, just so happened that it didn't fit my car. Just wanted to share my experience. Good luck to anyone in the future.

Only asking because im having a problem with pieces of the belt fraying away and then now the belt popped off so if it can eventually pop off a ribbed pulley whats to stop it from sliding right off this one?

The tensioner doesn't need to be ribbed dew to the pressure it puts on the belt. If it is install and or mounted right it wont cause any issues with your belt.
